sugar pretzels

Recipe for making sugar pretzels from shortcrust pastry.

Compound:

  • 125 grams butter
  • 125 grams of powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 grams of flour
  • 3 teaspoons sugar for sprinkling

Cooking:

  1. Rub the butter with powdered sugar until it turns white and thickens.
  2. Add one egg and mix again.
  3. Add flour and knead a sticky dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  5. Put parchment paper on a baking sheet and grease with vegetable oil.
  6. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide into about 30 pieces.
  7. Roll each piece into a sausage and shape into a pretzel.
  8. Whisk the second egg.
  9. Put pretzels on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  10. Bake 12-15 minutes.
  11. Cool down and serve.
