Compound:
- 1 kg of shelled walnuts
- 1 kg honey
- 50 grams of powdered sugar
Cooking:
- Chop the peeled nuts a little (not finely) and fry in a pan over low heat.
- Boil honey separately in a bowl. Steam it until thick.
- Put the honey into the nuts in a frying pan and fry until the aroma appears. When the mass begins to caramelize, the gozinaki will soon be ready.
- At the end of cooking, add powdered sugar to the mass.
- Mix everything and put it on a parchment board.
- We form an even layer with our hands moistened in water.
- Cool and cut into squares or diamonds.
- Dry a little.
Everything is embarrassingly simple. Again, it just never occurred to me that you can make kozinaki yourself. And not to say that the recipe is not known to me, I just don’t know why, but I looked for them on sale and did not find them. Somewhere they all disappeared. Thanks to the author of this site, in the near future I will certainly make this oriental delicacy for my grandchildren.
