Everyone is used to the fact that samsa is chicken meat (minced meat) wrapped in yeast dough. But since childhood, I remember my grandmother's recipe for samsa from puff pastry stuffed with potatoes and cheese. Incredible dish! Eat once or twice. Never gets stale and stays on the table. Now you can prepare such a miracle.
What you need for samsa:
- Puff pastry 500 grams (you can buy ready-made)
Filling:
- 6 potatoes (medium)
- 200 grams of hard cheese,
- 1 medium onion
- 50 grams of butter,
- sesame seeds for sprinkling
- salt and pepper to taste.
Cooking:
- Peel potatoes and onions and rub on a coarse grater.
- Cheese grate on a fine grater.
- Mix all ingredients, salt and pepper, add oil.
- Roll out the dough, lay out the prepared filling. Form into triangles and place seam side down on a baking sheet. The baking sheet must first be greased or put parchment on it.
- Bake at a temperature of 180-200 degrees for about 30 minutes.
- Put the finished samsa on a plate, sprinkle with sesame seeds and cover with a towel. Let it lie down a little.
- Serve with tea, milk, etc.
Everything is very easy and simple, and you can use different fillings: minced meat with potatoes, pumpkin with potatoes. You can also use stewed cabbage, eggs with onions and cheese, melted cheese and many other toppings. Who loves what.
Bon appetit!
